The Armoury

We have a comprehensive stock of club rifles for members and probationers to use on club day (Sunday). There is no charge for the use of these, although ammunition must be paid for.

The variety of rifles is too extensive to list here, suffice to say that there's everything from .22 rimfires (stacks to choose from) through to .308 scoped hunters and some classics too - including a Lee Enfield .303", a Mauser 7.92mm and an AK47 7.62mm.

Underlevers (or Gallery Rifles) are a popular choice and several are usually available in calibres from .22 rimfire up to .44 magnum. For those interested in Practical Shotgun there's a pump action 12 bore as well as the more traditional over and under. The armoury also provides a short term storage service for members firearms - ideal when moving house for example. Our volunteer armourers are always on hand on club days to issue rifles and sell ammunition.

The Club Shop

Housed in the same building as the armoury, the shop can supply guns and shooting accessories for all disciplines.

The shop is open every Sunday morning and on the first Saturday of each month (the practical competition day). During the summer months the shop will also open by prior arrangement on Wednesday evenings.

We are able to offer a wide range of new and used quality firearms to members. In addition we offer for sale a small number of members guns. There's usually a good selection of smallbore and fullbore rifles for target shooting and hunting as well as shotguns and muzzleloading pistols.

Reloading components for all popular ammunition types, along with powders are also stocked, with 'specials' available to order. The muzzleloading shooter is also catered for with a range of used and new guns and accessories. We also stock a small selection of shotgun cartridges in 12 and 20 bore.

We also provide a sales service for members secondhand shooting goods and consequently usually have a wide range of interesting and unusual items. Turnover can be quick so make sure you don't miss out and visit the shop regularly. For the fashion conscious member we stock a range of clothing embroidered with the club logo, including fleeces, sweatshirts, t-shirts, caps and woolly hats. We can source almost anything else you can think of, so drop in!

The “Barracks”

If you've got the shooting bug, what better way could there be to spend a Sunday morning than with a cuppa, a hot sandwich, a chat and then some shooting?

Not a mere tea hut, the Barracks is a hive of activity on club days with our indispensable catering staff working flat out to satisfy the hungry and thirsty hordes. A great place to meet friends, make friends or, in the winter months, just thaw out! It's not expensive either! With full disabled access, as well as ladies and gents toilets this is a facility of which we're very proud.

Worcester Norton Sports Club Main Clubhouse

For 'apres shooting' we can retreat to the main clubhouse which we share with the others sports users on this site. The clubhouse offers a comfortable licensed bar and also provides hot pies and pasties and even a skittle alley. Function rooms are available for hire in this building and all members and their families have free access.
